I love you and have great respect for you and I understand where you’re coming from. I hope you and the CMs can also understand where we’re coming from.

First, don’t you think that to be able to coexist harmoniously in any community, mutual respect is necessary between the head and its members?

In this case, decisions had been made by the head that would greatly impact the possession (badge earned) of its members. Out of respect to its members, isn’t incumbent upon the head to:

a.) Inform the members ahead of time before implementing such decisions to give them a voice? To just take away their hard earned badges, their possessions, without consideration is unconscionable. These badges represent time, effort, skills, hard work, accomplishments, etc.

b.) Give sound explanations on why it’s important and necessary to go ahead with their decisions? Not just gloss over them but to sincerely make an effort to make their members understand fully what they’re planning to do?

c.) To show that their members matter by trying their best to find other solutions and be open about it? Give their members choices. Show that they understand the sentimentality of these badges and its importance to its individual owner.

Second, these badges act as digital trophies. Trophies hold profound sentimental values. They represent achievements, hard work, validation of skill and effort, shared experiences and collective success, and can become treasured keepsakes. Unlike other possessions, you can’t put a price on it. It’s not normally sold or thrown away but displayed.

Third, be present. The CMs need to address the concerns of the community members. You cannot just leave everything hanging no matter how busy you are.
