It is impossible, according to statistics, to have so many matches against the same opponent!
I do not know how does the algorithm work to give you opponents! However, it is not possible to find the same person available just at the few seconds when this "selection" takes place, so many times in a so short period of time, 2 weeks!
I can give you only one explanation!
Your device's memory kept your opponent's name and picture. Every time it is not possible for the game to load your active opponent's name and pic, it recalls the already saved in device's memory!
This is my theory in general! I think it makes sense!

It happens to me too. And I clear my cashe every 3 or 4th game. Shouldn't that clear the memory?? Just asking😁!!!

It is possible that opponent's pics are been stored to other memory areas and are not affected when we clear app's cache! Maybe the way differs between different devices!
However, I am sure that it is almost impossible to play against the same opponent multiple matches in a row! 😉
