Hey Beryl, I have had this problem before too. Sounds silly but have you tried to force close all apps and restart your ipad: http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201559 this worked for me. Good luck :)

Hey you are right they did make this level easier. If the level hasn't changed for you yet make sure that you have the latest update of the game. Check your app/play store. :) Good luck!

You can "buy"the Hammers with the coins in Pet Rescue. You earn the coins by progressing in the game :) I hope this helps!
