I did 2 episode races back to back yesterday in about 3 hours total (because I also completed 2 chocolate boxes as I did those), and I didn't see any of those things - no Delicious Dash, no Dice of Destiny, no super color bomb, no Candy Royale. Seems like my extra events are just slowly fading away.

Mine just disappeared as well. It seems that it disappeared when I updated to the latest version. I was already through half of it before it disappeared.

I agree that the episode races around 17000 were particularly nasty, including level 17002. Unfortunately, as you get into the 18000s it gets where most episode races are like that.
