On the Rancid level description you should be able to see ''Goal" beneath where the stars show up, there it should say what you need to do to unlock the next episode.

You might want to check the level number you've put down as the game only goes up to 1955 for now, as far as I know.

Did you also have to complete any levels? I've not had a promo like this for a while but thinking back it also said that I had to complete 8 or 10 levels or something along those lines.
