You do need to be online for the quests to be active as far I've seen. If your game is offline it might also be why your timer is not counting as it should, how long were was it offline for?

I think with promotions and challenges you're only be able to play and claim from one device if you are using the same account to connect too. Just like the way it's set up so you can't spin the booster wheel multiple times from different devices on the same day.

First thing to check is your Facebook connection in the game on your ipad, do the usual disconnect and reconnect. Next, if you're playing from Facebook just go to your list of "Apps" and hover over Candy Crush Saga and it will give you the choice to remove it. Do that and add it again and it should be synced again…

Well if the original Candy Crush is anything to go by, I'd say quite a few levels are yet to come!

If you win first place you'll get a pop up message the next time you play the game with your rewards, each time though it's take a while after the event has finished before the rewards are sent. If you don't get the message, you most likely got knocked down before it ended.

The icon should come up at the beginning as long as you're not already connected or connected to Kingdom. If you have the FB app installed, you might want to log in to the account you want to play on from there as it usually automatically connects to the account currently connected in the FB app.
