They have changed the yellow candies to blue according to your image. I still have yellow candies in my game at the same level. So it's just a subgroup of unlucky players that seems to be affected.

There is nothing you can do if you make a purchase with gold bars by mistake. However those paint brushes are a good booster. Place them next to a colour bomb on the opening board of one of the tricky levels and you can create a colour bomb+stripe combo. If you have a super charger it will fire off twice and probably help…

Have you gone into your inventory and clicked on the heart at the top left with the infinity symbol? That should give every player the option to purchase 6 hours lives.
