    Hello!

    Alphabetty again...

I am stuck at level 219! The combination of letters make it impossible. I try to make 4 letters words, which I manage. This in order to have more points. Now, something strange happens: I sometimes have 4 letters including 2 of them with crowns. I therefore hope a word with these 4 letters will count as a 6 letters word. But strangely it only counts as a 4 letters word. Can you tell me why? So what is the best way to handle this level?

Moreover there are some words that are accepted but don't mean anything, either in French or in English! Of course I have checked. How come?

    Thanks in advance!

    hi @Philareti

welcome back! ... if there were a hall of fame for asking good questions you would have my vote 🙂

    🍮 🍮

a 4-letter word with 2 crowns counts as a 6-letter word ... UNLESS there are entanglers(vines) in the word

entanglers do not add to a word's length

    🍮 🍮

I am easy to please when it comes to playing a word I do not know, but ABS accepts the word ... to me this is much better than ABS not accepting a common word(which happens rarely)

I like to encourage players to keep the mouse moving ... you never know what combination of letters will be accepted as a word

it does not bother me that ABS accepts words that are unusual ... most players are pleased when it happens

    🍮 🍮

    level 219 ... 11 words in 34 moves

early approach ... play 4-letter words that include entanglers ... why? ... crowns will populate the board and the entanglers that are included in a word are then removed from the board

while you are removing entanglers try to include an exclamator(has the exclamation point) in a 4-letter word

once most of the entanglers and exclamators are removed ... then start looking to make long words

    🍮 🍮

there is a technique that will help when playing levels that require long words(word lists)

crowns that are blasted will lengthen a word ... AND most are returned to the board in a new position

Eugene and Michael discovered this in the old chat room ... we owe them many thanks

    🍮 🍮

there is another technique that will come in handy on most levels ... if you have plenty of lives

try to make a 6-letter word on the first move(without entanglers)

try select a blaster that is aimed at many obstacles(entanglers, exclamators, traps) and play it on the second move

if you cannot find a 6 letter word(or longer) on the first move then consider hitting the quit button

Eugene says "the quit button is your friend"

    🍮 🍮

many players like to use Mystery Mouse which adds 2 crowns to the starting board when fully empowered

    🍮 🍮

I am out of breath ... it is time for more coffee

Hi, it 's me again ! Thanks for your answer, really. Now, a few more things to say or ask, sorry!

A: there were no entanglers on any of my 4 letters two of which had crowns and still it counted as a 4 letters word. Problem not solved and it didn' t happen only once.

B:I DO keep the mouse moving, that 's how I come across non-existing words. OK, no problem... And I coin 4 letters words with entanglers too. But thanks for your advice!

D: I have no lives yet. How do you get them? And what about the Mistery Mouse? Actually I am a beginner and the rules are not detailed enough - maybe to sell coffee to you and your colleagues ?(Lol) -😉.

E: Hey hey, they 're clever about blasters...! They aim at letters I want to keep (with crowns for instance). By the way, I noticed that sometimes they add points to a word and sometimes they don 't. What about that?

Sorry to keep you so busy... 5.15 pm in France, it must be quite early there if you 're in the U.S. (?) So have a nice day!

hi again @Philareti ... keep asking questions ... it is 8:30 am here in California USA(PDT)

    🍮 🍮

    A. that is disturbing ... it works that way in English for me ... are you playing in French when this happens? ... please post a screenshot regardless of the language

    🍮 🍮

    D. lives ... if you have facebook you can do a friend request to Abe Venti(that is me) ... once the process is done we can send each other lives

more D. ... Mystery Mouse ... see images below for changing artifacts(helpers)

    🍮 🍮

    E. again ... that would be disturbing just liike A ... if you include a crown in a word AND it is blasted it only adds one to the word's length ... a screenshot would be helpful

    🍮 🍮

you may need to open the images in a new tab or a new window

step #3 clarification(correction ... lol) ... click on the Mystery Mouse icon(has a hat) ... then click "Use"

    hi @Philareti

have you had a chance to take a closer look at level 219?

    🍮 🍮

here is an example in English ... there are 7 crowns on the board ... four letters are played ... the blaster hits 3 crowns ... this word is recognized as a 7-letter word

when we look at the next board(14 moves left) we now see 8 crowns? How did that happen? ... the four letter word created a new crown ... the three blasted crowns were returned to the board in a new position

summary ... blasting crowns in English is fun ... I hope this works the same in French

Wow! Thanks for getting in touch and helping! Actually I finished level 219 a few days ago, I don' t know how... Should I have informed you? Actually I only dare write when I 'm fed up with being stuck or when strange things occur on the board. Now level 223. Not easy at all (I 've tried a number of times without succeeding so far) but I 'm enjoying myself and need no help. I must be stubborn...!

Have a lovely day and take care.🙋😉
