So, if you fail and either use Crystals or watch an ad to save your Steps, you respawn with Aku Aku.

Unlike how you can start with a Normal or Gold Aku depending on your Skin or get a Lively Aku out of a Crate, the one you get after Respawning is Stiff.

His Feathers don't bend in the Wind while moving, he won't ever Turn around to wink at the Camera and he looks a little bigger than a "Normal" Aku as well.

He only changes back to normal if you manage to get the 3rd Mask (Thanks to the invincibility Animation) Upon clearing the Run or if you lose him and get a fresh one out of the Crate.

He still protects you from damage, but it's a little sad to see him so stiff although he has some animations that show he is not just an item.

Would be cool if that could get fixed in the future.
