My tip is not to rush your moves. Every move counts, I always ask myself "Does this move take my towards this games target?". I've definitely progressed faster through the levels by doing this. 
And also, use this forum as the community can help you with those really tricky levels! 
Look forward to hearing how you progress! I'm on level 2115.
