Time for me to share my holiday tradition, or lack of it. My family did not celebrate Christmas and I never gave it a second thought until I had my own children. Living in the USA Christmas is a big thing and if you don't celebrate this holiday you can feel left out. My kids were young when I decided that they needed to believe in Santa like all the kids their age.  I bought them each a present and left them outside at the back door. That morning I opened my back door and said to them "Look there are Christmas presents outside with your name on it, it must be from Santa". The look on their faces still has a special place in my heart. So since this community opened I've been posting Christmas things to make up for the lack of not celebrating it as a child. My inner child had fun last year creating this story T'was the week before Christmas.

Then I created this video after posting last year's Christmas story.

So my inner child is getting sentimental today thinking about the holiday so please don't mine me posting some of my videos from last year.

I so wanted to believe in Santa, and the Easter bunny which we didn't celebrate either so this year I created a story about Santa, the Tooth Fairy and the Easter bunny being upset that children stopped believing in them at a young age. You can read that story here - The story about childhood imagination and make believe.

Did you believe in any of these characters when you were a child? I have this year's Christmas story still to post here in the community but the title doesn't mention the holiday name because not everyone here celebrates this holiday. It is a sequel to this story where Elsa really wants to allow her inner child to come out and have some fun. That is not posted in the community yet. But with this year being so hard for everyone all over the world with the COVID-19 virus, my inner child has come out even more so you can expect to see more stories from me.

And that's it from me at this crazy hour of the night. I sure hope that you guys are getting more sleep than I have. Have a wonderful day today and please share any of your holiday memories here. It doesn't have to be Christmas related, post some recipes, some Christmas memes, or some Christmas music. Let your inner child come out and play today! I will be posting this year's story by the end of this week - Not everyone celebrates Christmas and it mentions December holidays all over the world and Winter holidays all over the world. So please share what holiday you celebrate this month in your country.

Thanks for the tag and discussion, @Diamond Lim and @Elsa .

Oh, so many traditions to share! But one of my favourites is to build the Nativity scene. Here is one of the most popular from the island I was born. Always a must go see every year!

@Elsa My family does that! We get a new pair of pajamas each year, and open them on the 24th!

I am going to share what our CMs do in Spain. I posted a picture of it in my Christmas story from last year. I'll go get the info. and bring it here.

While reading about Barcelona and Spain I got very curious about the “caganer”.

What kind of figurine was it and did they really have them out for sale throughout the month of December? I was writing to @Lola_Pop at that time, so I asked her if this was true. She told me that “yes” it was true and shared some pictures with me. So now, you can follow along to find out more about it here.

@lemcbl your video brought back some of my childhood memories of how much I loved watching animations like that. I was very young and I was outside watching through a store window. My mother and aunt wanted to leave but I didn't so I had a tantrum, just like toddlers do! Now that was a nice memory to recall. Thanks for sharing!
