A Tour of Your Profile

All around the community, players occasionally visit your profile. Your profile shows how many posts you made, how many points you earned, badges, reactions, and a wall where you could share something with others (which will also appear in Recent Activity).

Your Stats

Your stats include your username, rank, and number of discussions, comments, points, and badges. It is located to the right of the your avatar. You can edit your avatar by mouse over the avatar and click "Change Icon." You can see your badges below the reactions.

Between your avatar, username, rank, and number of posts, comments, points, badges, and the reactions, there is often a banner which displays events in the community, especially during a holiday.

Below the banner is the number of Helpful, Woah!, Sweet, Love, and Haha reactions you earned from other players.

Message, Ignore Button, and Edit Profile Buttons

If you are viewing somebody else's profile, you have two options on the top-right corner of the statistics area: Message and Ignore.

To unignore someone click on the Person icon and click Unignore.

You can send someone a private message by clicking on Message.

If you are viewing your own profile, you can use the Edit Profile Button by clicking on the dropdown of the Person icon right of your username.

Editing Your Profile

If you click on Edit Profile, you will access the following screen.

You cannot change your username without sending a CM a private message. You can change your email though, and it is displayed on the second bar. The third bar is where you can type things that everyone will see on your profile. Example:

Click Save and you will be asked to type in your password, as this is a sensitive operation.

If you want to change your password, click on the "Change My Password" button, and you will get the following screen:

You will be asked to type in your current password, then choose a new one, and then confirm the new one. There are five levels of safe passwords: Too Short, Weak, OK, Good, and Excellent.

The third button will lead you to the Notification Preferences.

When you first enter this, every single preference is checked. Once you see this, however, you may want to make a few changes. If you are getting thousands of emails, try unchecking a few of the email notifications, such as "Notify me when people comment on discussions I've participated in." This notification is the most common, and if you participate in very high-traffic discussions, you might get 200 in one night.

The fourth button is the "Change My Picture" Button.

This may seem harder to get to, but it is very helpful because on mobile that's the only way you can change your picture. Click on "Save Avatar" once you are finished.

The "Remove Picture" button will remove your own profile picture.

A signature is a small design at the bottom of your comment. It can be very helpful by helping to navigate newbies around the community, or it can lead players to play your own community games. It can also just simply decorate your posts by just adding an image or a gif. You can create it by clicking on the fifth button, "Signature Settings."

However, there are three rules:

  • You need to reach Level 4 (250 posts and 250 points) to create a signature.
  • Your signature can only be 500 characters long.
  • Only one image is allowed. If you use an image, you cannot use a gif, and vice versa.

There are also settings which can be helpful, such as "Hide signatures on my mobile device," in case the signatures take too long to scroll.

The next button is the Ignore List. Your ignore list can contain a limit of 5 players. Anyone on ignore cannot send you a private message, and that's all an ignore list does. However, you won't be able to see what they write in their comments unless you click on them.

This is what someone's comment look like when you ignore them, unless you click on it:

The button the bottom, the Quote Settings, tells how deep should quotes be before it starts minimizing so it doesn't get too long.

Right-Side Toolbar on Your Profile

Finally, there is a right-side toolbar on your profile. The first button shows your stats, badges, and your wall. It is called "Activity." If nothing happens for quite a long time (no badges, wall posts, or wall post comments), then it says "Not much happening here, yet." Sometimes posts will gradually disappear over time. Badge posts disappear much quicker. Your wall can have multiple pages.

"Notifications" shows you the entire list of notifications you have, and "Inbox" shows your private messages. In addition, the toolbar also contains a list of your discussions and comments.

Hope this is a helpful guide. If you have any questions please comment below.
