It's always good to prepare for the cold, especially for Denize! But this time, she's found a fun way to bundle up: cosplay as someone who can not only handle the cold, but make it her ally. And no, it's not Elsa this time, it's Dr. Mei-Ling Zhou!
Yes, this is the esteemed Chinese scientist who is part of the mysterious global force known as Overwatch, stationed on Antarctica to monitor climate change. And she's got her trusty drone Snowball, whom Odus the owl also is happy to cosplay as.
This cosplay is yet another reminder of what other game IPs have also been under the same ownership as that of Candy Crush Saga and it's Activision's famed hero shooter series Overwatch, which currently spans two games. Efforts were made to preserve as many details of Mei's original outfit as it's translated onto Denize's long body, with the obvious challenge of making an educated guess on how an elongated version of Mei's big outerwear would look like on the mythological kind of dragon she's more familiar with.

Say SWEET! Denize is sharing a crazy selfie with her new BFF, Suzy the Giraffe!
The two women bond over their height and how they have the letter "z" in their name. But what you also need to see here is not just my painstaking efforts to faithfully reproduce all of Suzy's details, including the colors of all the string candy adorning her neck, but also just how this picture demonstrates how Denize's snout-to-tail length easily eclipses Suzy's remarkable 18-foot (5.4-meter) height as a giraffe - especially with how Denize needs to snake her very long dragon body (which exceeds the length of the world's longest snakes at over 30 feet/9 meters long) up Suzy's long neck to put her own head on equal height with hers for the photo op.

Merry Crush-mas to all Crushers on a Year of a Dragon! Here's some lovely art of Izzy curling up before her fireplace to endure the cold winter outside.
This will be among the last pieces of fan art I've worked on about Denize after more than 2 years. I have other things to do in life and I appreciate all the time I've spent imagining what she could do and what she could be. She is one of the most enigmatic characters in the game ever since. In the meantime, just take a look at how sweet of a picture it is, especially when it's obvious that she lit the fireplace with her own breath. Heat is something she will always need as a cold-blooded beast who can easily go limp when the temperatures drop.

Among the numerous franchises that share a home with Candy Crush Saga under the Xbox ecosystem is none other than the legendary sci-fi FPS series Halo. And I've got just the idea for how to cross over Candy Crush with Halo: have Denize the dragon become the template of an experimental version of the UNSC's trusty AI, Cortana.
This is one of several fan art pieces I've made to commemorate Xbox's acquisition of King and Activision in an effort to keep pace in the console wars. Of course, translating Cortana's humanoid design onto Denize's dragon body was quite difficult, but you can settle with what I've tried here. Note the blueish color scheme I used to reflect Cortana's normal emotional state.
