    @wykoon I love nursery rhymes!

JACK AND JILL WENT UP THE HILL

AND EACH OF THEM HAD A QUARTER

JILL CAME DOWN WITH FIFTY CENTS

AND NOW THEY HAVE A DAUGHTER.

LMAO ... That's not quite how I remember the "Jack & Jill" nursery rhyme, but, I like your version much better!

    @Elsa and @Nat09

I well remember Au clair de la lune and Frère Jacques from my school days, but our words in English were:

    Brother James, Brother James,

Are you sleeping? Are you sleeping?

Ring the bells for Matins. Ring the bells for Matins.

Ding, ding, dong. Ding, ding, dong.

LOVE THAT ONE!!! I'm probably gonna get in trouble for this one or it may be deleted, not sure of ALL the rules here?!?! But, we used to sing this to my cousin, Mary, when we were kids!

Mary, Mary, quite contrary, why is your bush so goddamn hairy?

I did not know the story of the Mother Goose, i am from Chile and my mother used to sing this to me when i was a child

    ESP: LOS POLLITOS

    Los pollitos dicen

    pío, pío, pío

    cuando tienen hambre,

    cuando tienen frío.

    La gallina busca

    el maíz y el trigo

    les da la comida

    y les presta abrigo.

    Bajo sus dos alas,

    acurrucaditos

    duermen los pollitos

    Hasta el otro día!

    ENG: THE CHICKIES

    The little chickies say

    peep, peep, peep

    when they are hungry

    when they are cold.

    The mother hen looks

    for corn and wheat

    she gives them food

    and grants them shelter.

    Under mama’s wings, huddling up,

Sleep the little chicks until the next day!

Hi @Elsa I don't know about mother goose day on 1st May but in Malaysia.. It is Labor Day. It's a public holiday but since its fall on saturday so already weekend.

I have few nursery songs but in my own language and I think it's not related to mother goose. 0

Hey! Would you like to give us your opinion?
