A shout out to my sister - she’s been both a gifted student and special education teacher from pre-k thru elementary for around three decades. She is a magic worker, and her students (just “her kids” as she calls them) adore her, and she has changed kids lives. It is not uncommon for her to be out in public and someone with a big smile walks up to her and says something like, “You don’t remember me, but I was in your class ten years ago, you were my favorite teacher!” Somehow, my sis always does remember exactly who they were.

She is underpaid, overworked, but dedicated to making a positive difference in her students lives. Bravo, and same to every other teacher!
