World Noodle Day takes place annually on 25 October. The day was launched in 1995 by pasta producers from all over the world at the World Pasta Congress. The best way to celebrate World Pasta Day is to prepare pasta dishes yourself.

World Pasta Day or World Pasta Day – the international World Pasta Day

When is World Pasta Day?

Since 1995, noodle fans have been celebrating World Pasta Day on October 25.

Who created World Noodle Day?

In contrast to many other culinary holidays, in the case of World Pasta Day there is very concrete information about who created it, since when it has been celebrated and why its initiators have chosen the date of today, October 25, of all things. But one thing at a time.

The World Pasta Day was initiated by the so-called World Pasta Congress in 1995, where 40 pasta and pasta manufacturers from all over the world come together every year at different locations. The aim of this pasta holiday is to raise public awareness of the value and culinary range of pasta for global nutrition (see also the list of links below and the contribution to the International Day of Italian Cuisines on 17 January).

Accordingly, the various manufacturers in their home countries also use this date to draw attention to this goal with numerous events and events around the noodle (see e.B. the National Pasta Day in the USA on October 17). An essential element is the annual award of outstanding pasta producers.

Thematically, World Pasta Day is thus close to related holidays and action days such as the International Chefs Day on 20 October, but of course also to other pasta holidays such as .B.dem Spaghetti Day on 4 January, the day of Tortellini (National Tortellini Day) on 13 February or the day of Linguini (National Linguine Day) on 15 September).

Why does World Noodle Day fall on 25 October?

Only why World Noodle Day falls on October 25 of the year is not so clear. However, it is likely that this is related to the date of the above-mentioned Word Pasta Congress from 1995.

Whether there is also a substantive connection to Sourest Day, the sourest day of the year or national Greasy Food Day, which is also celebrated on October 25 in the USA, remains unclear. Unfortunately, this also applies to International Artist Day and World Pizza Makers Day.

What is the best way to celebrate World Pasta Day?

The answer here is, of course, relatively obvious. Because today it is mainly about cooking or eating pasta. Some people also use this date to make pasta from dough, nothing else is the German translation of the Italian term pasta, by the way. The supreme discipline in pasta and pasta, so to speak.

In this sense: Bon appetit and a great World Pasta Day to all of you. No matter where you celebrate this occasion. :)
