We walk everywhere anyway as we don't drive.
We like planting. This was a couple of weeks ago, now we have tulips coming up too. Our backgarden is generally a wildlife haven. There isn't pictures of that this year yet as its too early, but we literally leave it to grow so we have a garden full of nettles, poppies and other natural wildflower which means the bees and butterflies have a safe area to frolic. Last year I bought Ladybird larvae so that they could eat the abundance of greenflies we had, but the nettles are always covered in caterpillars. Plus its coming up to the time to buy a butterfly kit as we have in the past, and they come back to visit us (we think lol)

We recycle and re-use. But also use items to make other items. These were food jars that my daughter decorated with glass pens (and I have to bake them) that we will use as tealight holders in the garden on warm summer nights. Sometimes we have done ones for halloween and Christmas for lights to be in too.
We will say Matlock in the Derbyshire Dales (England) as that is the closest town and will show on the map 😁

I love to find old things and give them new life. Some of those items are:
An old barn hinge made into candle holder
Here is an old wash board that now adorns my wall
An old wagon wheel is also on my wall
Here is another wash board and a wash tub that was a promotional item at an old country store
My garden is filled with repurposed items. An old head board from a bed is now a rose trellis
Here is an old ladder back chair that holds an old iron pot I found
And here are some of the solar lights by my back gate. Sorry some of the pictures are side ways.
