And now...to the best part of each month's Member of the Month announcement...the interview! @Lemurtek , the stage is all yours!
π«Which of King's games are you currently playing, and what do you like about them? Which one is your fav?
My main game in Bubble Witch 3 Saga... What drew me to Bubble Witch was the fantasy elements and the back story. I feel a sense of a richer, deeper story than some of the king games. what keeps me playing is the logic behind the bubbles. I am an engineering type, and I appreciate how the mechanics of the game works. I can usually figure out how to get a better score, and often create a plan o win the level. Some games are mostly random chance, which I sort of don't like. Also, I like Stella and Nero, and even Wilbur. Maybe especially Wilbur! I feel like they are on my side!Β π
I like Candy Crush Soda as well, mostly because I can blunder my way through, and usually don't get stuck for too long. I don't like the bubblegum levels though... too sticky!
I find Pet Rescue Saga hard to play. Inevitably, I end up dropping one of the puppies, or kittens, or one of the other critters, which makes me feel bad for the little guys!Β πͺ
I also find Farm Heroes Sagas very frustrating. For some reason, I can't get in a groove with that game. I like it, the cropsies are cute and all, but I find the gameplay very hard, for some reason.
And I like the Candy Crush Friends, especially the characters. For instance, a while back there was an event with Rachel the Raccoon. She was hilarious, her little temper tantrum, especially when she turns her back, and sticks up her nose, and the peeks over her shoulder to see if you paying attention...Classic! Almost worth losing, just to see it!π
I also play the original Candy Crush, just to relax. It seems a little less intense, a little sweeter.
π«What's your best memory with King games? And on the Community?
My best memory with Bubble Witch was figuring out how to score ten million points in the game. There was no special reward for that, but it was deeply satisfying to figure out how the scoring works on that. I also kind of turned a corner, when I began recording all my gameplay, this gave me a whole new perspective on the game.
My best memory of Candy Crush Soda was getting into the Weekend Challenge Soda hallΒ of fame. It was probably a fluke- I imagine the other winners, shaking their heads, wondering "How did He Get in Here!?"π
My best memory of the community was a combined one of several challenges in Bubble Witch 3. After noting some of the other gamers, I was inspired to really dig into the gameplay and scoring, and really try to understand Bubble Witch on a deeper level.
π«Do you have any expectations from the Community?
I would expect the Community to continue to be a place of good humor, fun and interesting and challenging things to do, and most importantly, a place where you can remember that it's about how you play the game, not just winning!
π«What do you like the most about our Community?
Me, most importantly, I like the open sharing of ideas and how inspiring it is to see people raising the bar for what is possible. I also like pestering the game mods with my weirdo questions and observations!
π«If you could change anything about King (games, community, etc.), what would it be?
One thing I would change is the dichotomy between a game when played on different platforms. Some things transfer OK between, say the PC and Mobile platforms, but some things don't and often the events and other factors are different. This kind of applies to all King games. It would be a much less frustrating experience if switching between platforms was a less jarring and unproductive experience.
As far as the Community, I would change this Vanilla thing I keep running afoul of when trying to post. I don't really know what Valli is, or why it sometimes won't let me post, but I have a feeling we're not going to be friends!π
π«How did you find the Community? How long have you been around?
I joined the Community April 1st, of 2021. How's that for an April fools joke! Actually, I was experiencing Owl troubles in Bubble Witch 3. (Still am actually) For some reason, those Pesky Owl levels often give e weird experiences. Anyway, I went to customer support. AndΒ @PrettyBubblesΒ andΒ @johamiltonΒ answered my question. And also, I believeΒ @Diamond_LimΒ was actually the first non-tech support-related greetings I had.Β π
π«Anything else you'd like to share?
Don't tell anyone, but I'm not really a Lemur!
Hahaha, we'll keep your secret, dearest @Lemurtek π€« π
And now, everybody, it's our turn to show him our appreciation! π
