It is beautiful here. It has changed a lot in the last 20 years though. Where did you visit?
So many big developments, I grew up in North Vancouver by Mount Seymour. The housing developments are slowly making there way up the hills in so many cities.
Having said that, there’s still enough places to hike, camp, explore and such so no complaints 😊
That is a Blue Jay in your picture? We don’t have those here but have Stellar Jays. They are beautiful but the three young ones at our feeders are cheeky birds but lots of fun. Lots of birds, until a black bear took interest in our trees and feeders
They finally lifted the fire ban, lot of fires this year, so tonight is the first time since late spring that we can enjoy our fire pit at the bottom of of our property. A little hideaway, it’s nice.

@jk77 I traveled from Calgary through Kamloops to Vancouver. Stayed in Vancouver for 5 days and Vancouver Island for a couple of days.
Where I live, it has been the exact opposite to fires - floods !! Just recovering now.
The bird in my photo is an Australian native, Cockatoo. Below is another of our native birds a blue Kingfisher.
