@Trish24 your message is very important and I'd like to comment on it. It would be wonderful if something could pop up saying that the idea already suggests but that would be in a perfect world and I know that I don't live in a perfect world. If I did the COVID-19 virus would never have existed! I have a suggestion for you. Since the team who creates this website has so many things to work on, why don't you volunteer your time and go through the ideas section once per week and read each idea and comment if it appears to be duplicated and then tag me so that I can determine if it should be closed and then close it.

If any of you want to help this community grow, then please take a part by volunteering to help me. Look at the ideas for your game or any of them for that matter and suggest and tag and offer the master list link.

I really and truly wish that the editor of this website could have a pop up suggesting that but I've asked them for pop ups that do occur to be taken down and I think that might take priority over adding new pop ups. But I truly do like your message and than you for writing.

It's already done! I don't like to carry titles but for this message I will. I am the specialized expert for the ideas sections and I do work closely with all the CMs all the time about their game ideas. You guys aren't aware of this because it's done in the background, behind the scenes. We need to take less off of our already overworked CMs who are constantly looking for ways to help the community grow while addressing game issues.

3) A easily accessible and regularly updated list of ‘Master Ideas’ (like a Table of Contents) at the top of the Ideas page. A very basic guide, that isn’t more than a page or two that has all the Ideas that are currently relevant to that game. Brief descriptions that would limited to a short sentence at most.

4) Each of those could be a quick link to the original, much more detailed posts. This is where (on topic) commenting, collaborating and voting would be encouraged! Some of the ‘Master Lists’ are essentially in this format already, and wouldn’t need to much adjusting.

5) The Managers/Superstars would still help with editing the ‘subject’ when posts are not relevant or duplicates, (like they do on finished contests), when the post is beyond the 24 hour edit time limit. Making very obvious labels would help eliminate a lot of confusion.

And one last thought...

Perhaps the Ideas section of each game was essentially its own mini forum, with designated categories, such as current/new/pending ideas prioritizer while old/denied/duplicated ideas could be ‘archived’ away?

It is already done and I work with the CMs behind the scenes. Please look at the image above. Do you see Tiffy's Idea Libarary? that is where all the old/denied/duplicated ideas are archived away. But were you aware of it? Is anyone going into that link to see what's no long active? That's where you and others can help the CMs and me. Please all of you try to get more active in this section for all 5 of the large games. Look at the new ideas coming in and get familiar with the master list and the archives and then please post the link/tag me to look at it.

No @Spinnifix you are not being deported. Keep doing what you're doing. I'm sure the CMs appreciate you doing this and I know that it's something that you enjoy so keep doing it and tagging me if you feel that it's a duplicate. Make sure to offer the actual link to the master list and if you see that it's a duplicate please post the link for that original idea and then tag me so that I can close it. Help me by making my job a bit easier because if you or anyone else just says that it's already been suggested and you don't give the link then you are turning the player off and not helping me because I will go into those areas and give the links.

If you need more volunteers to help you organize the list of items for ideas, I definitely can help you.

However, this action cannot solve the root issue of "Duplicate idea."

It still cannot prevent users from posting the same things again, but anyway it decreases your burden from working.

Actually, the best method is self-discipline! self-discipline! 

But obviously, this method cannot work currently.

Plus, I don't know how many rights do superstars have. It is better for giving the "merge posts" function to superstars (I think CMs have this function).

So, the superstars can organize the posts greatly.
