If I change my in-game username will it corrupt all my games again?
Hi 🙋🏻♀️ So I know how to change my username in my King games. My question is, if I change my username in my games (not this forum) will that corrupt my games and require me to uninstall and reinstall all my games again? Because that’s what happened when I recently changed my password in one game. Doing so corrupted all the other games and I had to do an uninstall/reinstall for each one, causing me to lose all my boosters 🙁 I would like to avoid this happening again. Can I change my in-game username safely?

Hi @Bookster are you referring to your log in name (email address) for the game? I'm not sure and you have me stumped! Your best bet would be to complete a form and ask Player Support. All management is now gone until Monday. You will get a bot email. Please respond to it and then you should get someone to help you. Just be a bit patient because we are now in the weekend. I am also going to tag a couple of my fellow Superstars to see if maybe they have the answer for you, @PummyRaj @Chicken_Slayer

Thanks @Elsa and @Chicken_Slayer for your replies. Yes, I was referring to my login name in all the games. I had something different and I wanted to change it. I decided to take a leap and go ahead and try changing it without contacting Support. I can (thankfully) say I didn’t corrupt my games. Phew! 😅

Except for Losing Progress, and missing rewards, also for missing purchased items, do not contact the Customer Support, as it will only takes a long process and time consuming.

@Elsa I did have to uninstall all my King games on my phone several weeks ago but I didn’t lose any progress in them when I reinstalled them. All that happened was that I lost some boosters. The games were still saved to my King account with all of them at the same levels. 🙂

I remember when I first started helping in the support areas the players would get sooooo angry when they uninstalled the game and lost all boosters. The CMs had to create a blog telling them that when they play the game on a mobile device all boosters are just saved to that device. They encouraged the players not to build them up because any crash in the mobile's operating system or game update could also cause the players to lose all boosters. The gold bars are saved in your account so they never disappear. And as long as the player uses either Facebook or King their progress is saved because that is saved on their servers. The players were not aware of this and they were angry!

If you want to change your username on any King's Game with Facebook or King Account, you follow these steps here :
- Open the game on your device and tap the Settings button (usually shaped as a cog)
- Click on Sign Up With Email (Haven't created your King Account yet) / Log In With Email Button (Sign up your King Account completed already)
- Then choose the option 'Edit profile' and click on pencil icon of picture - can change your username and you're all set now!
If you are saving your game with Facebook, your Facebook profile username will show in the game. If you'd like to change these simply log into your own Facebook account, make the changes and you're good to go! Please note that the changes may take a few hours to be pushed into your game profile.
If you want to change your username on King Community (this community), Oops! You cannot change your username on King Community now. You just ask us (any one of Game Moderators) on this thread first then we will add and answer you and any one of Community Manager on private message and finally any one of Community Team can help you out with changing this on your account. 😊
