🦸‍♂️Happy National Superhero Day🦸‍♀️

Thanks for the tag @Diamond Lim Happy National Superheroes Day @wykoon & the community.

There are 2 Superheroes in my life. The 1st was my Dad. My Mom suffered from mental health issues throughout her life so my Dad had to step up to the plate & raise 5 children while working full time so that he could provide for his family. He taught us how to love unconditionally, to have faith & to stand by each other no matter where life took us. He was a kind, loving & very gentle man. Sadly he developed Alzheimer's in the last years of his life but on the night before my Mom passed away he sat by her bedside, called her by name, kissed her cheek & told her that she was & would always be his one true love.

My second Superhero is my wonderful husband. We actually met on National Superheroes Day 21 years ago! When we met I had 2 teen aged children & a ton of baggage. Throughout the years my husband, who had never been married & had no experience in raising children has become a wonderful Dad (not step-Dad) to our now adult children & the best Papa to our 4 grandchildren. Three years after we were married my health began to fail. I went from an energetic, hard working & fun loving wife, mother & grandmother to someone who struggles to get out of bed most days. One little tick bite left me with a lifetime of Chronic pain. My husband has had to learn how to cook, clean, take care of all of my health care needs, which have become considerably more complicated during the pandemic. He does all of this & so much more. He is my rock, my best friend & my Superhero! I am so blessed 🙌
