    My father was pulled out of school to help on his Dad's farm. He now owns that farm with my older brother, and is extremely knowledgeable about cows; their psychology, their biology, and especially their genetics. People are usually shocked when they find out he was taken out of school when he was between 10-13 years old!

    Growing up, summers were always busy due to harvest; but between cuts, while the grass is growing again and there is less work to do, we often went fishing. There's only one thing my Dad loves almost as much as his cows, and that's fishing xD

    Once we were all moved out, my Dad bought himself a 4-wheeler so he could haul his canoe and still be able to go fishing xD

    @wykoon ๐Ÿ‘‹

    My father had a difficult life growing up. He was the only child. His parents passed away when he was still little so he lived with a relative.

    He didnโ€™t have a proper education, but has always tried to work hard and be a good person all his life.

    Growing up, I had always respected my father, but rarely talked to him. For the most part, it was because he was always busy working. At the time, I knew that he did all he could do to provide for us.

    I learned from him perseverance andย patience. Because of my father, I have what I have today.๐Ÿ’—

    Heโ€™s retired now and loves gardening. ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐ŸŒพ He never gives his children extravagant gifts, just little thing here and there.

    A recent gift from my father... ๐Ÿฅฌ

    My father is the one that taught me almost everything I know. I remember when attending music school I just couldn't get what the point in changing keys was and the teacher said she just couldn't waste time with me (I was six at the time). My father asked the other children's parents who were musicians, learned how to read notes and studied with me until I finally got it. He taught me you can do anything if you try and if you're not afraid to ask for help. โค๏ธ

    @Diamond Lim. My thoughts and prayers are with you today. I remember when my Dad was diagnosed with lung cancer on my birthday and then died at the same age as yours. Take care and keep safe and well.

    My Dad died about 3 years ago and I'm still pretty young, he was pretty young when he died. I learnt a lot from him about how to do things, general handy skills and my love of movies. We would regularly watch channels on TV which showed non-stop movies and we would watch/ I would do my homework. He was my role-model and I miss him.

    Thanks @Diamond Lim for tagging me.

    My father was many things in his life but now, in the twilight of his life at 89, he has become our child. He spends his days colouring books because the doctors said it would be good for him and he tells me stories of his childhood. He was a teacher, a really great home chef and he loved all kinds of gadgets. These days, they're all memories for him now, fragmented and fuzzy (he can't remember many of his recipes). Still, he passes his days with an almost chirpy attitude and enjoys his food with gusto. Yesterday, my sister posted a photo of him with my son (who was only two months old). Dad was making a face at my astonished baby... his hair was still back and his skin tanned from going outdoors everyday.

    Dad, thank you for being still here and being there for me always.

    What a beautiful dynamic.

    My dad has always been a hero, I remember that when I was 5 years old, one of my teeth fell out it was at night and we were in a place full of confetti, I started crying because I had lost it and he searched until he found him, even many years later we continue to laugh, remembering him.

    A big hug to those who no longer have their parents and another to those like me who are fortunate to have them.
