Where can I enter some damned races?! I'm trying to compete against a group of 10 friends to reach level 1000 on a bet and I am the only one in the group that can't get a damn race. Everyone else is earning gold bars, etc and I'm struggling to find a damn biscuit because I've heard that this feature is only available to randomly selected players. How about making this feature available for EVERYONE?! So far, the only thing that has kept me in the bet is contests, but I am loosing ground over this issue. You people really need to address this because it is frustrating as f@$!k when you put work into playing only to discover that a key feature is only randomly available to a "group" of random players. Had I known this, I wouldn't have joined the bet (200 USD). Fix it!!!

Pleased to e-meet you here and that's some frustration there 😅😅 Sounds like you were referring to this Episode Race/Fast Race in Candy Crush Saga that looks like the image below.
Yes, you're right that some features are only made available to randomly selected players so they can have different varieties of in-game features. That's how it works here and there's no fix on this. However, please the following standard troubleshooting procedures and hope the feature will appear. I can't guarantee it will but no harm trying because some players would get it back.
- First thing is to make sure your device has enough storage (at least 2GB) to perform any updates in the game from time to time. This is to ensure that you get the latest version and also possibility to enjoy the release of any new events/features
- That you are properly log in the profile, i.e. not sharing with another person's device. If there is another person sharing your phone and logging in the game accidentally, make sure that player is properly log out before you log back in.
- The internet connection to your device is stable as any unstable connection will affect connectivity to the game server.
If all of the above are in order and there's no such event, all you can do is to enjoy other in-game features/event available and hopefully this particular Fast Race event will appear in your game soon.
