As always I am for New Year's because new years is the one time of year that we have a chance at a new beginning in our lives To try and make it better than It was beforeTo fluff off the last year and make the next year even Fuller and better than any year we've had before.

    πŸŽƒ Halloween πŸŽƒ

I will always choose HALLOWEEN or SAMHAIN or DIA DE LOS MUERTOS !!!! β™₯β™₯β™₯

The Day of the Dead is for those that have taken the next step in their journey, we call, Life.

The Celtic, Gaelic, Scotish ancient beliefs [ even some yet today still believe ] in preparing meals, pouring mead, setting a warm fire and placing clothing or a blanket for those who come back to visit on this one night. We honor their lives and by remembering them with these things, it clears the way for their journey so they aren't trapped here on earthly plane.

The same with the Dia de los Muertos. The traditional festive celebration of the dead is similar even though many dispute the similarities. Meals are prepared, drinks are poured, candies, cakes, candles, fires and family sets up an altar for their loved ones to honor them on this one day. Very colorful, with music and dancing parades in costume.

Halloween is more than children going door to door, or now... the community centers for candy. In many different countries it is observered in different ways, yet, all seemingly to be remembering or honoring the dead no matter what it is called or the time of the year it is celebrated! It is important to remember family. Our ancestors, those that have been here before us, even those with lesser accomplishments when compard to those that are talked about frequently.

Never forget, we are ALL a part of this chain we call Life.
