Obviously CMs can still send private messages but since we all know that moderators can too I personally do not think that they (or CMs for that matter) should be posting on here basically saying that it is not a big deal etc. Since, they pretty have special treatment for volunteering at King.

I beg to differ when you say pms brings no activity to the community. People, how many times were you in the community chatting on pm when you saw a pop up notice about something going on in a thread in the community, and then have gone and participated in that thread? I know I do this regularly. I spend at least half of my day in pm with some of the most wonderful people I've met here in the community.
I realize this pm destruction is a done deal. I personally think it will change the community for the worst.

Hello @FluffyDinosaur (your avatar doesn't look fluffy to me, but what do I know 😆) I hope you and the studio will be able to fix whatever "technical issue" you claimed to have with PM. You said don't worry, but I do worry. We all worry. This is our community too. I hope you all know what you are doing. One more thing, you also mentioned about a space just like PM and you'll let us know later. So, this working progress can't happen before taking PM away? 🤷♂️ Lastly what this new space will be called? NSPM? (Not So Private Msg) 🤔😉

I'm interested. Does Blizzard know that King is unable to keep a simple forum up and running? I think that if he finds out, he will be very surprised.
Blizzard has a very good reputation among the players and goes out of their way to attract customers. It seems to me that King is now adding his fly in the ointment to Blizzard's honey barrel.

I've always tried to provide encouragement to everyone & of course when unforeseen things happen, my first thought is to reassure you all, right off the bat. Not only coz I like volunteering to help but because I care. It really wasn't about misusing a title or privilege. I'm truly very sorry if you feel that way 🌻
My second thought is to still get creative & fun things to you, in the meantime, until we know more. Gosh! It's 2:15 am, winter & a pretty cold one here (good thing I have my Ugg Boots lol) & all I could think about was, closing 4 comps in jelly, uploading badges, then noting them all so it was one less thing you had to worry about! 🌈
My daughter & I went hunting for a special container at lunch time, for our last Jellybean Activity tomorrow. Naturally she wasn't as excited as me but she still listened to me natter away about all our cool members who might like this twist on a regular activity.
I guess....I'll still have that faith in everyone, in all areas of the Community & wait patiently until we know more...I'll be in Jelly if needed & as we draw closer to the Weekend...hope it's a good one for everyone whether your in Winter or Summer ⛱️☔

I agree with this .. though it's not always about the popups. We have an active group PM for our Dach's team that we also use to point out to each other contests, important threads, etc. My activity within the community has grown directly as a result of the wonderful group of players on our team and in our team chat. If that ability goes away, my involvement in the community, including participation in discussions, contests, etc. will drop off drastically, as will my interest in the game.

I understand that you want to cheer up the community members, but in this thread it will not work. Because the problem is too big for every member of the community. No alternative options for any of us will replace ordinary face-to-face communication. You understand this too.
