Oh lovely! snowy memories...π¨οΈπΏπ·β
Most of them go back to my childhood as I lived in The Netherlands and Norway. Lots and lots of cold winters and snow then.
It was then possible to skate on the canals in The Hague. So much fun and a feeling of an extraordinary event for the kid I was then. The settings and weather was beautiful: a cold bright sun, blue sky, and sparkling frost and ice underlining everything in the parks and the city we could see from the canal. To this date, I still remember the thrill of it all π

I remember many years ago that I went on a winter hike with my family and friends. We had a lot of snow there and the sun was shining. The snow glittered at several degrees below zero. It was really very nice. Unfortunately we don't have that much snow anymore. I remember that fondly.

Speaking of snow βοΈ the weather just issued a severe winter weather alert for us starting today until the end of next week. Tomorrow the temperature is suppose to drop down to nearly zero at night and only in the teens in the day. It is suppose to start snowing. Then by Tuesday it is giving up to 9 inches of snow. On top of that it is suppose to snow all week next week. I love the snow but I hate that due to weather I have to miss work π
