I am currrently reading a series set in victorian times which has strong independent characters.
But my favourite series for the last few years are by Kristen Banet. I say series but she writes several different series all under the same universe. So if you like shape shifters, vampires, wolves etc. she is an excellent read. I don't know how she keeps up as many of her characters cross over from series to series. Its not sparkly and its not fluffy,
I have been reading since before I started school. One of my punishments as a child was a book ban and I have always read until 3am or later (even as a child) I read everyday no matter how tired I am at bedtime. Reading is breathing to me and if I have time and keep devices off, I can devour a book in hours lol.

Hi@Lady_Choo .I used to read alot too in my teens. My mum used to tell me off for reading in bed. So, I bought a book lamp. So that she doesn't notice I'm reading..my good memories of my mum. She's not with us . Bur, I don't read anymore. I lost interest after I got married. But, I passed my interest in my elder daughter. She has book 's to fill my whole house. She loves reading like I did at her age.

I used a small torch heh heh. Admittedly I mostly read on kindle now as it has the light inbuilt and I can download books instantly. But books I ask for as gifts are always physical.

Cute badge and great thread π I love to read. Mostly murder mysteries but I also enjoy biographies too. Iβm looking forward to reading βMy Name Is Barbraβ by Barbra Streisand. Iβm on the waiting list at my local library for a copy, and Iβll be waiting for a while because so many people want to read it too π

Have you read any Agatha Christie books? You can never go wrong with a classic murder mystery! Hercule Poirot is my favorite character of hers. Poirot is a brilliant detective and he also makes me laugh because heβs so proud of his moustache π¨π»

I love reading Ayn Randβs Atlas Shrugged.
No candy references in it, but science is involved. π€©
