A few years ago, I was really unhappy with my former supervisor and I decided to send a resignation letter to my company's boss on April 1st. He and my other department bosses thought I wanted to quit for real. To make it short, I got a pay raise from an April Fool's Day joke.

I am not a pranster but I surely get pranked. Must be a good victim!
Yes, I have been pranked. Oddly enough the time that I remember the most was also when I was about 17 maybe 18. We were at a friend's house and my husband and our friend Harry were messing around with a 1957 Triumph 650 motorcycle that my husband had previously owned. Harry innocently enough asked me to hold onto a part for him. I grabbed it and got the ever living life shocked out of me. He had me grap the wire end of the magento. Then I found out that it was my husbands idea and he had put Harry up to it! I was pretty mad!

Sometimes big companies will pull April Fools jokes to get brand recognition in a fun way. Here is one from AMTRAK for this year:
Amtrak used the holiday to introduce an emotional baggage train car and encouraged users on X, formerly known as Twitter, to “tag a friend who needs a lift—we can handle it.”
