The Year of the Dragon is almost over and the Year of the Snake is beginning.
As Mr. Dragon cosplays as Indiana Jones to celebrate the critical success of Bethesda Softworks' Indiana Jones and the Great Circle and answer his wife's earlier cosplay of Lara Croft, Denize wonders if he would inherit the hero's fear of snakes. To answer that question, she turns once again to Stella the Bubble Witch to turn her into a snake. She decides to do so, but goes the extra mile to add a touch of beauty by making her into a hybrid of snake and carnivorous plantβ¦a flowerpent. And yes, she also decides to give her kids the same treatment.

Here's my definitive fan art of Didi, Denize's daughter!
And look how small she is compared to her towering mother!

Mr. Dragon has elected himself to be the top Pink Guard of the Dalgona Games, the Squid Game of the Candy Kingdom, where 456 lucky Crushers compete for a grand prize of 4.56 million gold bars that can only be won by one.
The idea of crossing Candy Crush with the highly popular Netflix streaming series Squid Game, notorious for its gruesome death games, became an interesting idea when I noticed the latter had pink guards, and Denize's dragon species was also pink. So I had to imagine Mr. Dragon being a pink guard for the Dalgona Games, the Candy Kingdom equivalent of the Squid Games, named after the sugary treats that Squid Game players have to carve out carefully and quickly or else face an unfortunate demise. It was a simple matter of giving Mr. Dragon a full body suit that covers him from neck to tail, with an additional black helmet over his eyes and forehead, along with a belt, shoes, and gloves. In the end, you've got a very tall and tough referee who will make sure that rules are followed, and that losers are scared away until the one lucky winner emerges to claim the grand prize of 4.56 million gold bars (analogous to the 45.6 billion won at stake in the actual Squid Game), which is sure to give them several years' worth of candy crushing assistance for thousands of levels to come.

Denize, as we all know, is a talented ice skater. But when she tries to teach her daughter Didi how to skate, she ends up gravitating to a different kind of sportβ¦ice hockey.
And yes, she somehow takes inspiration from another hockey-playing girlβ¦Riley Andersen from the 2015 animated film Inside Out and its recent sequel. And she even went on to cosplay as her geared up for her teenage hockey team, the Foghorns.
The possibility that a girl would prefer hockey to figure skating was the chief inspiration for this picture, and I thought Didi would end up making such a choice when she learns to skate from her mom. But then when I realized that the most famous fictional hockey girl that would easily come to mind was Riley, I had to have Didi cosplay as her. And yes, I've taken pains to make sure she looks great with all the gear, from head to toe.

Sometimes I dream of Denize being a giant forest fairy with a love for nature and a willingness to use her powers to defend and rejuvenate the natural world.
Because Denize is a huge snakelike eastern dragon, I thought she would love plants and nature, and while she would not be comfortable with being small as fairies usually are, she would be fine with being a giant one, keeping her size, while having the usual fairy wings. When I came up with how she would dress as a giant fairy, I wanted to make sure her whole long body was a love letter to the natural world. Two long vines studded with leaves and flowers would snake up her body and tail and she would wear a bra and skirt made out of a lot of leaves. She even waves a tulip wand. Note how the vine that adorns her upper body has a small coil where she can store the wand inside. Surely nature lovers would love to see her like this!
