IF I could only have one fruit for the rest of my time on the planet, I would have a never ending passionfruit vine. If I tell the story of Jack and the Beanstalk to children, it's always passionfruit seeds and a vine that Jack can climb, never a beanstalk. Although beans are nice too! Growing up Passionfruit were plentiful (and figs which I also love), but they have become a luxury almost these days in the land of emus, crocodiles and kangaroos.
I love the smell and the taste - divine. I have 3 in my fruit bowl right now so you can guess what I'm going to do after I post this comment.
To relate it back to our mothers, in Australia and New Zealand the Pavlova is a popular dessert in summer - almost essential for Christmas Day. Both countries claim the pavlova as their own. My mother made wonderful pavlovas - basically a large meringue crisp on the outside and marshmallow-like texture inside. Traditionally topped with whipped cream and sliced banana, strawberries, kiwi fruit and lots and lots of lovely passionfruit. The variations are only limited by your imagination and they always look impressive but are not hard to make if you have an electric mixer. However, humidity is the pavlova's nemesis and turns meringue hard, chewy and very very sticky.
Bon Appetit everyone

My favorite food would be fried chicken love fried chicken it can not be just any fried chicken it has to be Southern Fried Chicken cooked in all vegetable oil, the chicken has to be marinated over night in a brine of water and coke- a cola with a bit of salt and vinegar yeah that sounds weird but it's just right after it's been brined roll it in flour then dip it in a bowl of eggs then roll it in panko bread crumbs then deep fried the chicken or in a frying pan full of oil vegetable until it is done serve it with green beans and mashed potatoes and cornbread there you go Southern Fried Chicken all done right β₯οΈπ―π
