Misty lost her horn in the Great Scramble from the game Pin the Horn on the Unicorn.  The bubblegum troll took it - he found it on the day of the great scramble, and just put it in his bubblegum pocket.  He then took it to his cave under the bridge and likes to put it on his head sometimes so that he can imagine himself in all kinds of fashionable poses.
