No update and no new event....nothing!

I was unable to update my game and when it came time for the new event, it didn't appear. So, I feel left out of all the new action with no idea how to fix it. I have already contacted King about the update but got no response. Has anyone one else had this problem? Guess I will continue to play on as is. It's just so frustrating!๐

I am new at this and not sure what I'm doing. My game is Candy Crush Friends, level 535. I appreciate your assistance and guidance. I was unable to update my game when prompted by King and now I feel I am missing out on the latest event. So sad.๐

I do not have a smartphone, if you can believe that. I have not found a need for one and still have my old cell phone and landline. I play on my Amazon Kindle Fire, so I guess this limits me, huh? @Rockerchick83 yes, phone device usually get the new events faster ... as flash is no longer supported by king games ... hence phone devices usually have the priority ... where the latest unlimited life is for phone devices only ...

@stan1981 I got the unlimited lives for a while. I just couldn't update the game and the event that was counting down the days to start just disappeared. So disappointing and not fair๐. It shouldn't matter the device, wish they could fix that.
Oh well, nothing to done. Thanks for your input.
