I have been on level 49 formonths now and can't win. What's the deal? I noticed yesterday that there's a lock at the bottom.

Try this walkthrough, with in-video tips for passing level 49. Some tips: First get rid of the flower pots and molehills by ending links of flowers next to them... do not let the molehills spread. look for opportunities to make super blooms for big blasts. Try to link flowers into the big bud of the same colour to reduce its number quickly. Hope it helps!
The lock is just for the boosters that appear later in the game. There's nothing wrong there.
In this level its just about getting to the bottom using as fewer moves as possible to get to the glass. See if you can pick up a strategy like this:

I am level 1313, and the entire time I have been playing this game, I have always wondered what’s the difference of getting 1,2, or 3 star? There is no incentive to strive for 3 star since I don’t see getting anything but higher points.
