Why can't I see my friend?

I have just started playing Blossom Blast saga on the recommendation of my friend. I have got to a roadblock where I need help to pass. However, when I click on the request help button, my friend who plays appears to be the only person not there!! I can't send her anything either. Can someone help please?

Double check you have your friend added as such on your Facebook. Also check your Facebook settings. On PC, go to the little black arrow top right on your screen. Select ´settings´ and then ´Apps.´ Choose Blossom Blast Saga and revise all the questions and answers.

Also, does your friend on Facebook allow others to send her requests for this game?

Is it because I downloaded the game straight onto my iPad, not through Facebook. I am now getting lives from her, but I don't seem to be able to send them back.
