Level 896 change?

I am on level 896. All the walk throughs are for 20,000 points, mine says get 40,000 points. It seems impossible to achieve this. Even my competitors have less than 40,000 points. Why the change and how do I beat it?

The level has changed both in point and starting difficulty.  They now have levels start hard and then as you keep playing without beating it the flower sizes change to make it easier.  I am not sure why the change and can only guess it is to give a challenge to start but give you a chance of beating it eventually by progressively making it easier.

Below is Level 896 updated for 40000 points.. you can see it only has a couple 1 point flowers where as when I started playing the level half the board were 1 point flowers.
