I'm on level 1052 and little white arrows have appeared since playing yesterday. What's the purpose of these arrows?
Well, if that's the case...what a waste. Any player older than 6 would know where the flowers are coming from. IMO, it's just a distraction.

Thank you for posting on King Care. I believe the white arrows are showing where the flowers enter the board making it easier to see where they they can be cut off by objects.
