I can't link my game to Facebook

Hi. I've recently bought a new phone and I want to transfer my games' progress from my old phone to this new phone. However, I'm having trouble linking my games' progress to Facebook. Whenever I try to connect to Facebook in the game it says "Connection to Facebook Failed"
I have also never link my game to Facebook so uninstalling the game would only makes it worse.
I've tried all the steps they recommended in the support page.
I have tried uninstalling my Facebook to try logging in via Chrome and still nothing. I've tried updating both the game and Facbook. I've tried switching the device off and wait for 30 seconds.
My devices' software is updated.
I'm using an android by the way.
I would love for a speedy reply

    This is pop up keeps on appearing whenever I try to link to my Facebook

    I can imagine how frustrating this situation must be!! In this thread you'll find some more troubleshooting steps to try out. If they do not work, could you please tell us the make and model of your phone or tablet? And the Android or iOS version you're using?

    Sadly none of the suggestions worked for me. :(
    The phone is in android 5.1.1.

    update.
    I have tried logging in using my new phone but the progress is up to level 160 whereas in my old phone it was 502.
