If you are playing a game and you KNOW you aren't going to win, use the rest of your turns to experiment. For example, if you've been joining flowers and having the last one land in the direction of an obstacle, go the opposite direction and see what happens. Or try working through the field from another location e.g. start at the top instead of the bottom. Or, totally ignore one section and try to only use one part, especially if you are fighting snails. If you really get frustrated, you can end the game by clicking on the cog at the bottom left of the screen and then choosing the end game button.
You don't HAVE to link through them if they aren't in your way. However, if they are adjacent to some obstacles like buckets or weeds, you can use them to break up the obstacles faster. Do it early in your game and it can save you a turn or two. They are also great to extend your string of blooms. 🍄
Here's a tip that many of you already know, but newer players may not.
When you are trying to join a string of flowers to make a large blast, the larger the buds are in the string, the fewer the flowers you'll need to make the string shake and then explode. To achieve this, join a short string, three or four, adjacent to the main string of flowers. That way, the small blast will make the buds of your main string mature some.
