It has seemed to be true for quite some time that another player's current level on their scorecard is less up-to-date than the numbers in the weekly contest. It is quite common to see a discrepancy like that.

I think 80 seconds per level is kind of slow. I can manage close to that with just regular boosters like lollipops and free switches, but it seems like the best results last year were closer to 60 seconds per level. Yes, the levels are pretty difficult. Not as difficult as the ones towards the end of the map that got you there, but then you also can't use as many starting boosters, since you don't get the extra ones for streaks, or extra starting boosters for watching ads. 2,974 gold bars doesn't seem like it would be high enough to make them lock you out. And the fact that you're in the US means that is not the cause.
