I don't think it's possible to turn off the hints in any of the King game, as far as I've noticed anyway.

I take it reinstalling the game hasn't changed anything, no?Check you have the latest update for your OS as well as that can also affect it!

When you're logged into King.com, do you not have the list on the left hand side which has "Favourited friends" and the list below with "suggested friends"?The 3 day unlock appears to only be on the mobile version.

If you've got Android or iOS check in the store for the latest update. If you've got Windows on the other hand you'll have to wait as it looks like the update for that hasn't been released yet.

Is it connected to your Facebook or Kingdom account? If it's Facebook, make sure you have the latest version of the App installed, you can check for that in the App Store. You're progress should be synced to FB after that, what I would do is quickly check on FB on a PC if you can and see if your progress is the same…

Where's the icon you're clicking on, on your desktop or in Facebook itself? Have you tried loading the game in a different browser yet to see if there's any difference?
