I doubt Mary is a bot. You should be able to find her in your friends list. Click on her profile and see where she is playing from. She probably is a player who sends lives to all her friends on a regular basis.

Scrolling is the only way. It has been suggested that it be made easier, but the request seems to have fallen on deaf ears.
