Oh yeah @Nat09 I almost forgot π€¦πΌββοΈ. I actually celebrated that one too since I work with the Canada π¨π¦ region for my day job ππ€πͺπ»
As for me, give me sweet potatoes and stuffing until I pass out. I can do without the rest. π³β€οΈπ π π π edit: but still please pile the rest on my plate because I will totally eat that too π
I've made it with sausage and even one time with pecansΒ but this time I'm going to be a traditionalist and just use onions and celery (and maybe some pecans). ππ€π
That sounds so good to me @bearwithme! π€ I usually make sure to get a good Italian sausage that has plenty of fennel and only use about 1/4 lb. It ends up not being meaty if I cook it down but it is good flavor.
My best friend growing up was Cajun and her mom always made "dressing" for Thanksgiving which was a very fancy dirty rice made with liver. I thought it was the most delicious thing when I was 10 and had no clue what those tiny little "meatballs" were. Her food was always good though. Stuffing is so regional and traditional that I always ask what kind people make just to learn. ha.Β
