Wow, that's really nice @bearwithme! What were you doing there for 4 years then? Any pics or stories about Okinawa? That tug of war competition sounds fantastic! Totally the kind of stuff I like 😄 Tell us more, hehe!

@Ashraf - thank you so much for sharing all the wonderful pictures of your city and the marvelous museum.  I have been lucky enough to actually visit there.

@QueenMia - I was living in Okinawa because I was stationed there in the Navy.  It was an awesome experience.  Another fun thing I got to do was participate in the annual Dragon Boat Race.  There are three boats that all the teams use and you race in heats of 3.  For the military we raced against each other.  So one race would have 3 of the services (for example Army,l Air Force and Navy) and the Marines would race in another heat and the best time wins.  The prize was bragging rights.  I don't have any of my photos electronically but below are two photos from the web of both events.

My Favorite Summer Family Vacation Place

Location: West Lake Okoboji, Dickinson County, Iowa
    Where Fun Never Ends

This is a natural body of water, located to the south and west of the City
of Okoboji and northwest of the City of Arnold's Park.
West Lake Okoboji is considered a blue water lake formed by glacial movements
retreating north, and is only one of three blue water lakes in the world.

Okoboji Blue Water Festival is a family friendly event raising public awareness
of water quality issues in the Iowa Great Lakes and Beyond which will
be held Saturday, August 10, 2019 all day, all for free.

Photo Slideshows of Some of the Magnificent Islands of the Philippines.

The Philippines is an island nation, consisting of 7,641 islands, located in the
Western Pacific Ocean, south of Taiwan, east of South China Sea.
It has three main island groups which are Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

I know the Philippines very well and it is very close to my heart because
I was born and raised in Quezon City. I was educated both in Quezon City
and Manila which are located in the main island of Luzon. Manila
currently is the capital of the Philippines. Below is the video that I
created about the Magnificent Islands of the Philippines 5 years ago.
This video brings back the memories of my childhood.
