“C’mon in, don’t be shy,” Joe says. “The food is all set up over there so please help yourself. The fried chicken is my favorite. I’ll go get us some seats while Katie takes you to the food tables.”
They are all speechless! They never, in a million years, thought that they would get such a warm welcome from the ringmaster. Chewy’s stomach starts growling.
“Let’s go, I’m too hungry to wait for all of you,” says Chewy. “I’ll beat you to the food!”
And off he goes. Yeti and Red Rabbit are following right behind Chewy. Tiffi and Kimmy are too excited to eat so they start walking back slowly as Kimmy makes conversation with Katie. Tiffi can’t wait to get home to tell her father how wonderful it was. He surely missed out on a good time! Maybe he’ll be able to go with us when the circus comes back again next year.
