Now let’s check in with the team of bearwithme and siti_payung. Those minion eggs are adorable! Time to check out if they are easy or difficult to create.

Supplies:

Egg Dye kit

Vinegar

Moveable eyes

Black String (we used black jute)

Glue

Sharpie

Step one: prepare dye in individual cups. Pour 2-3 tablespoons of vinegar into a cup and drop dye tablet; all the tablet to dissolve. Pour ¼ cup water of room temperature water in the to dye. (Note: I slightly adjusted the instructions from the kit).

Step two: dip half of the egg into the yellow dye. You can see in the picture that I only filled the dye cup enough to cover half of the egg. The longer the egg sits in the dye the brighter the color will be. Allow the dye to dry and dip the other half in the blue dye.

Step three: Use glue to attach eyes and black string for the goggles. Draw mouth with a Sharpie pen.

Aren’t they adorable? This would be a great idea for hollowed out eggs so they last a long time.’ (Source

“That doesn’t look too difficult,” says bearwithme. “When do you want to meet?”

Siti_payung tells her what time she finishes work and they arrange to meet at the craft store.

Food! The team of Miss_Dani and PrettyBubbles are going to make burger eggs. They look so real and they look good enough to eat. They both go online to read the directions.

Supplies

Hardboiled Brown Eggs

Non-Toxic Red and Brown Markers

White Non-Toxic Paint Marker

Yellow Paper

Green Streamers or Tissue Paper

White School Glue

Scissors

Directions

1.- Draw a brown stripe around the lower third of the egg. Let dry for about one minute.

2.- Draw a red stripe just above the brown one and let dry again.

3.- While drying, cut three tiny triangles (per egg) out of yellow paper.

4.- Glue the triangles onto the egg, spacing them evenly apart around it.

5.- Cut a skinny strip of your green streamers, long enough to fit around the egg plus some. Run a line of glue around the egg and then glue the strip to the egg, "ruffling" it as you go by folding over and gathering the streamers in some places as you adhere it. Let dry.

6.- Draw white "seeds" on the top half of the egg and let dry.’ (Source

“It looks like we have to get some eggs, non-toxic markers, yellow paper and streamers or tissue paper,” says Miss_Dani. “I have white glue and scissors. I’ll get the supplies, no biggie! When can we get together to create these eggs.?”

Plans are made so let’s move on………………
