Checking in with Odus and Red Rabbit they have chosen to create the ninja turtles. They go online for the supplies and directions.
Supplies:
• Green egg dye or food coloring
• 1 tablespoon vinegar + 1/2 cup room temperature water
• ribbon
• eyes
• glue
Dye eggs in room temperature water. The longer the eggs are dyed the darker the color will be. We kept ours in for about 10 minutes. Set to dry.
Glue ribbon to the back of the eggs and add eyes to the ribbon. That’s it! You could get a little more creative and add a mouth with a sharpie or paint pen, but since my preschooler helped make these we decided to keep them simple.
Tip: hallow out eggs instead of boiling to make these last longer.’ (Source)
“That sounds easy enough,” says Red Rabbit. “Let’s get together to buy the supplies.”
Next we meet up with the team of Chewy and Yeti. Their egg decorations are similar to those that Odus and Red Rabbit are doing but these are ninjas in their black outfits. They go online looking for the directions.
‘Materials you will need to decorate your eggs:
hard-boiled eggs
acrylic paint
A paintbrush
Silicone glue or a glue gun
ribbons
Some toothpicks
Draw an oval shape on the egg and paint it with black acrylic paint, except the oval. Depending on the paint you use, you may need to apply several coats.
On the “back” of the egg, use your glue gun to fix two toothpicks to make the ninja swords. You can also use cold silicone glue if you don’t own a glue gun or if you want to make this Easter craft with kids.
Attach a colored ribbon to make the belt, you can add a dot of glue to hold the belt in place if necessary. Draw the eyes and the eyebrows od the ninja. You can use a small paintbrush or a black sharpie. Have fun making different facial expressions: happy, angry, bored… You can also add eyelash to make girl’s ninja.
You may have to cut a little the tips of the toothpicks for the egg to stand by itself.
A done!! Your Ninja eggs army is ready to fight. It’s a super fun Easter craft to make. My kids love them…I have to restrain them to play with the eggs.’ (Source)
“Let’s meet up to get the supplies,” says Yeti. “What time do you want to meet?”
Chewy tells Yeti that he’s free today so they plan where and when to meet.
