I have logged on 3 times today and no daily reward. I normally log on to the game every morning between 6 - 8 am my time. I was doing good with over 20 days of logging on and now the streak is gone because the game did not give me the daily reward. This has happened several times, including where I had 272 days in a row, only to have to start back at square one. Is there any way this can be fixed so this does not keep happening?

I'm sorry for what happened to you. But I think it's not so bad in our game, because you only get shares of gifts when you log in every day and the gift boxes start again every 5 days with a small gift box.
You get better rewards in the game itself, depending on which event you have. The Sweet Streak is independent of the daily login. Even if you miss it, the event will be active until the timer has expired.
