Hellk @Tasha2469, I am sorry that your question was not answered sooner. We expect this type of question to be posted in our Support section which is reviewed frequently. We use this Discussion section for comments that don't necessarily need a quick response.
To answer your question:
Costumes are added to your scrapbook in various ways. If you open your scrapbook, you may see some "locks" indicating costumes that are currently available but you have not yet earned. To unlock these helpful characters initially, you'll need to find Candy Surprise boxes. Find new stickers inside those boxes to level up your Candy Friends and discover new ones. Once you have collected enough stickers to unlock a character, you’ll find them in your scrapbook -- they will be ready and waiting to help you!
There are also special events offered in Candy Crush Friends Saga where you can earn new costumes for your Friends. Currently there is a contest in which you can earn the new Yeti Tennis Player costume by collecting 30 new stars -- there is a time limit. Other contests may require you to complete a number of levels in a special event (typically 10, or one per day over a number of weeks) and then to collect a number of new stars within a specific time period. It is important to always collect the "gift boxes" that appear on your game boards during special events.
