Mostly of players have asked this problem.
You can check here (Not receiving any Lives or did you lose all stored Lives?) and here (Receiving and sending lives via Facebook - not working!?) to read that similar information by Crazy Cat Lad the Community Manager that I hope you can understand to read it.
By the way, this game's support community is Candy Crush Friends Saga (not Candy Crush Saga).

Hello there @kellikru and good day to you.
Understood that you are asking for recommendations on how to get lives as you are not able to receive them from your friends.
This is my personal experience and you may try it out if you think it's workable for you. I usually play my CCS game via mobile. Once I've used up all my lives, I will switch to playing the game in different device(s) or platform i.e. Win10, or Facebook via any web browsers (do note that CCS Friends is not available in Facebook). Whenever I log in to different device or platform for the first time, I will get full lives.
If you plan to try the above, please make sure you exit/log out from the game in each device before logging in to another to ensure that your progress are sync properly.

Hello @szesan and welcome to our Friendly community. I have the same experience -- rarely getting lives from friends. It is especially disappointing because my friends are randomly assigned. I used to get other players scores posted alongside mine when I completed a level, but now I see none. I am tagging our Superstar @Elsa to see if she can help.

Hi and welcome to the community.
Recently facebook is having some issues for sending or recieving lives. At the moment we are hoping that studios soon will fix this matter and we may use lives again.
You may also check this link and make sure the settings are ok.

Thanks for tagging me @MountainMom. Looks like a lot of people have responded. The only thing that I can add is this. @kellikru which platform are you using? Facebook or King? I don't play any of the games through Facebook anymore because there are lots of glitches, especially the lives. If you haven't tried playing through King yet? You can follow the steps HERE to create and play through King.
